Deleting your account is permanent can cannot be undone.
Deleting your account will prevent you from using the account to access OpenAI services, including ChatGPT and API. You will NOT be able to create a new account using the same email address. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except we may retain a limited set of data for longer where required or permitted by law.
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, deleting your OpenAI account does not cancel that mobile subscription. You must cancel it in the App Store or to stop future charges. Please refer to the following article for more information:

To delete your ChatGPT account from the iOS app:
Open the ChatGPT app on your device.
Navigate to your account settings.
Tap Data Controls.
Select Delete Account.
Either confirm by clicking Delete Account or to change your mind just click Cancel.
